EIA - Endocrinology

The field of endocrinology includes diagnostic tests such as anti-TG and anti-TPO, both very important markers of patients with thyroid diseases. Also included under this umbrella are hormone (fertility) tests such as Free Testosterone, SHBG, and Urinary Cortisol, to name a few, that are key in the assessment health and well being in both men and women, and can be useful in the diagnosis of conditions such as hypogonadism, hepatic cirrhosis, thyrotoxicosis, hyperandrogenism, hirsutism, polycystic ovarian disease, and Cushing's Syndrome. Aldosterone and 17-OH Progesterone are important assays in the diagnosis of adrenal disorders such as congenital adrenal hyperplasia.
